Production: Only those students who are performers,or who have been asked by their teachers to help on the nights, are expected tocome in the evenings. The non-performerswill be watching the dress rehearsal only. They will not be watching thematinee so if they wish to see the show they will need to buy tickets to watchit one evening.
15 June
Costumes:
Each member of the cast needs to have their costume ready to wear.They will need a plastic bag with their name on it to keep props and othercostume items safe.
For Monday and Tuesday, students wear their uniform to school and get changed into their costumes before the dress rehearsal and matinee. Students wear mufti to school before the evening performances.
All costumes must stay at school.
Performance times:
There is a dress rehearsal at school on Monday 22nd June.
- Tuesday 23rd June at 11am, there is a matinee for some of the Tawa primary schools which is not open to the public as it is soldout.
- Public performances are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, 23rd,24th, 25th June starting at 7pm.
- Tickets are selling fast so get in quickly to avoid disappointment.There are no door sales.
Unless otherwise instructed by their teachers, all performers in the Syndicate scenes will need to be at school by 6.00pm each evening for makeup and preparation.
Drama and Dance Academy performers need to be at school by 5.30pm for makeup and preparation.
The performance lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. You will need to make arrangements to pick your child up at 8.45pm at the latest, after each performance. They will meet you in the courtyard outside the hall. For safety reasons we do not advise children going outside school grounds to meet their parents.
*The school reserves the right to call taxis, at parents’ expense, if students are not picked up on time.
Please do not pick up any students from outside the main gate as this causes congestion and safety issues. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Parking:
Only those people who have purchased a ticket for parking will be able to park in the school grounds. These can be purchased from the school office for $5. Wellington Council will be patrolling each night to ticket illegally parked vehicles.
Permission
Please sign the permission slip on the letter your childe will bring home today, and have your child return it to the classroom teacher by Thursday 18th June.

June 10th- Two weeks to go!
We have two weeks to go before our major Production, “Who are we?” The whole school is involved all three nights. Each syndicate has a separate scene and there are 21 scenes altogether. The Dance Academy, Drama academy, Kapa Haka and all syndicates are involved. The Production will be approximately 1 ½ hours long.
It is necessary for all students to attend each performanceas we are performing for 3 nights and a matinee. This information is on the website.
The Dance Academy and Drama Academy have been practising during lunchtimes and after school. The actors have even given up their weekends to do extra practices.
It is strongly suggested that you purchase your tickets assoon as possible as we generally sell out and there will be no door sales.Tickets are $10 each.
Car Parking:
In the interests of safety, this year there is provision for cars to park in the school grounds. Car parking tickets may be purchased through the school for $5 per car.There will be a limited number of car spaces available each night. Cars will be able to park on the night between 6pm and 6.45pm. If you wish to purchase a carpark please fill in the slip below and return to school. Only those with car parking tickets will be able to park in the school grounds. These will be the same colour as your tickets for the night.
Please note that cars parked in the school grounds will only be able to leave at the conclusion of each night’s performance.
