Hosting international students can be a very rewarding experience. It gives families the opportunity to share and learn about other cultures and explore the world through another perspective.

There is a financial contribution for hosting international students.

Interested in becoming an Agent?

We welcome you to join us in collaboration. Tawa Intermediate School is an approved signatory to The Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice 2021. We are located 15 minutes north of the Wellington CBD and provide education for students in Years 7 and 8 (typically 11-13 years old). We currently have a school roll of approximately 480 students.

We offer long-term placements for international students. All of our long-term students live with a parent/guardian or family friend.

We offer short-term placements for international students (groups and individuals). We offer homestay arrangements for all short-term visiting students.
